We served as an agent for the highly successful healthy living company, Medifast, connecting them with Perseus Books Group (Hachette). We crafted a book proposal, represented them, and took them to New York where we pitched the book to several publishing houses, eventually securing a deal and an advance with Perseus.
We facilitated all the connections, routed them to the right publishing house, and made their objectives a reality.
The result was Discover Your Optimal Health: The Guide to Taking Control of Your Weight, Your Vitality, Your Life, which reached #4 on the New York Times Bestseller list and elevated the brand and company to the next level. The founders of USANA Health Sciences, a publicly traded, state-of-the-art manufacturer of health products, utilized publishing The Healthy Home: Simple Truths to Protect Your Family from Hidden Household Dangers—which furthered USANA’s mission and message—as a strategy to propel the company’s image, garnering the equivalent of millions of dollars of branding and publicity.
